BioReliance has signed an agreement whereby VRL – Maryland, LLC (“VRL”) has purchased BioReliance’s Animal Health Services (“AHS”) business, effective December 31, 2013.
Any testing in progress through December 31, 2013 will be completed and issued by BioReliance, while any work orders submitted after January 1, 2014, will be run by VRL. VRL has offered employment to all current AHS employees and they will continue to provide testing services in the same facility that you have used to date.
AHS is a business with a long history of strong performance and the foundation for continued success and we believe it's an ideal fit for VRL. VRL was founded in 1988 in San Antonio, TX and is a global leader in the animal health testing services business. It is VRL's and BioReliance's mutual goal to make this transition feel like business as usual for you.
For those of you who are familiar with the other businesses of BioReliance - genetic toxicology, transgenic carcinogenicity toxicology, and biologics safety testing - this announcement does not impact those services, which will remain with BioReliance.
